The basic misconception regarding Hawza studies is that this type of education is only for those interested in becoming an Imam of a mosque or a Shiekh.

Not everyone who attends the Hawza may go on to lead his or her community as a religious figure. In fact there are a number of students who attend the Hawza to go on to become teachers, doctors and other professions. The reason that they attend is Hawza to gain a strong understanding of Islam and deducing laws the way of life from its resources. Furthermore the analytical skills acquired in the Hawza are very strong.

With that said another objective of the Alqaem Institute is to create leaders in the Islamic society who will be able to help his or her community in performing there religious responsibilities.
